Coke has brought Minute Maid to the Philippines. I loved Minute Maid when I tried it in the States and Paris because I love juice and seriously, it's hard to get real juice in this country. It's always either mango juice only in real sit-down restaurants or some totally synthetic thing at all other eating establishments. If you go to 7/11 or Mini Stop, you're better off getting iced tea or Gatorade.
So...imagine my joy when I saw the billboards for Minute Maid in Manila. True, it's only orange for now, but I could imagine that apple, grapefruit (pamplemousse - one of my favorites in Paris :) ) and berry would soon follow.
Ryan bought Minute Maid yesterday. I tried it. It tasted completely artificial and completely dashed my hopes for juice becoming more popular in Manila. :( Honestly, we live in a tropical country with so many fruits available! Why does everyone drink Coke? And why would you take a perfectly reputable brand and fill it with artificial chemicals? It's a waste and I'm so sad.
I want grapefruit juice now...

I tasted it for the first time last Saturday. Although I have no States comparison to use, I was disappointed as well, purely for the fact that it was not the least bit natural. I feel you.
Just get fresh fruit and make your own juice :p (I know, helpful.)
jeeez... why don't you just buy fruits and make your own juice then.. haha!!
its better and healthier. haha! Or try the juice that Mum buys me.. its broccoli juice, and aloe vera juice. really good. :P
Thanks guys, but that'll only help when I'm home. I want to be able to enjoy juice when I'm out of the house. And besides, Coke's totally ruining the brand!
What's wrong with Coke, Aves? :p
It's good with like Max's fried chicken, but other than that never satiates my thirst. :(
You're right, it tastes different from what I remember in the States. :o(
