A friend of mine at the office came up to me today to say hi. We work together a lot and we chat sometimes, but it isn't very usual for her to just drop by like that. It was very nice and I really enjoyed it. It reminded me yet again that I know some really great people and just don't spend enough time with them. In general, I'm horrible at staying in touch unless I really see people often. I've been saying for years that I have to make more of an effort to spend time with my friends. It still is something I need to do more of.
To that friend, in case you're reading this (and there's a good chance that you will sometime), I'm glad you stopped by. :) Thanks.

It's not gonna happen. I think we're similar in that our friend "meter" is easily filled. I used to be like you when I was going to an office to work. Since I was great friends with my officemates I felt no need to search for meaningful social interaction outside of work. Outside of work was alone time, or significant other time.
However once I started working from home I realized that I needed social interaction much more than I thought, and so I forced myself to make time to see friends that I wouldn't normally see on a day to day basis, since I needed to fill up my friend meter or go crazy.
You know, I've been wondering about that. If you don't work in an office, how do you meet new people?
Hope you're feeling better!! Tagged you by the way =)
I am feeling better today, thanks! :)
I'll work on that tag soon, I promise! Thanks!
