...especially when it's by guards who walk you to your car after you leave a place.
It's nice when it's raining or when they help you carry a heavy bag, but I always get uncomfortable with how they stand around after waiting for a tip. I like tipping someone for a job well done, but not when I don't ask a person to do something and they take it on themselves to do it then want payment? I mean if I don't have a lot of stuff to carry and it's a bright sunny day, I think I can walk across the street to my car by myself. If they want to walk me over there, great, but they shouldn't be expecting to be paid for crossing the street!
I also like taking my time to sort my stuff out, make sure my mirrors and seat are in good positions and plan my route to wherever I'm going next. I hate how I feel I have to rush to get my car in gear and get moving because the guard is standing there, or worse, has already stopped traffic.
I like being helped or even pampered, but I don't like being made uncomfortable because of it!

I don't know if it's the financial crisis that's causing these guards to do these things, or if it's bad parenting. I understand that they're not earning enough, but their means of subsidizing their salary through extortion is a bit too much.
I LOVE being alone :p
Hi guys!
Andy, I don't know if it's the financial crisis because I seem to remember feeling like these guards have been hovering like this for years. :( Maybe it's just my memory reaching further back than was real though.
Numi, unfortunately, with living with my boyfriend, his parents and 3 brothers, real alone time is a luxury I only get when he goes out with his friends. (which he does about 3x a week so it works out pretty well :) )
